Donations Type with there description

This unrestricted donation is a financial contribution given to the University without any specified purpose, allowing the university to use the funds where they are most needed.

General Donation

This donation is to support awards leading to academic prizes, given to students or scholars in recognition of outstanding achievement or excellence in a particular field of study.

Academic Prizes

An Alumni Endowment is a permanent fund, typically established by donations from alumni and the public, where the principal is invested and only a portion of the investment returns are used to provide ongoing financial support for the university's specific programs, scholarships, research, alumni programmes or infrastructure in perpetuity.

Alumni Endowment

A hostel accommodation donation is a collective contribution of funds from the public and alumni specifically allocated to construct, renovate, or support student housing facilities.

    • What is the purpose of the alumni application?
      The alumni application is designed to help alumni of the University of Jos stay connected, access exclusive resources, participate in events, and contribute to the alumni network. It serves as a platform to strengthen the bond between the university and its graduates.
    • Who can register on the platform?
      The platform is open to all graduates of the University of Jos. Current students nearing graduation may also be eligible to pre-register for the platform.

    • How do I create an account?
      1. Visit the registration page at alumni.unijos.edu.ng.
      2. Click on the "Account" then register button.
      3. Enter your matriculation number and proceed, if you are on the system it will pull your information and allow you to login or register.
      4. If it's a new registration you will be allowed to enter an active email, phone number and password.
      5. Verify your email address by clicking on the confirmation link sent to your email.
      6. Log in with your registered email and password to complete your profile and do any activities within the application.
    • What should I do if I forget my password?
      1. Click on the "Forgot Password" link on the login page.
      2. Enter your registered email address.
      3. Check your email for a password reset link and follow the instructions provided.
      4. If you do not receive the email, check your spam folder or contact support for assistance.

    1. Approach the academic office at the Nagaruta campus of the University.
    2. Purchase the transcript form, fill & submit. Then pay the stipulated amount.
    3. Your transcript will be processed and sent to the institution or organization that requested for it.
    4. For more information, guidance or assistance, kindly contact the Examination and Records office in Registry.

    1. Transcripts are not issued directly to individuals.
    2. They are sent to the requesting institution or organization

  • The process does not take unnecessarily long; it is done within the shortest possible time

  • Certificates are issued once, however in the event of loss, fire or any unforeseen circumstances, the graduate can apply for a copy of the original to be certified by the. The application should be accompanied with a police extract and a court affidavit as supporting document. University can issue a supportive document.

  • The university policy frowns at certificate collection by proxy.

  • In case of an error on your certificate the above, a formal complaint is made the Registrar. The certificate will be withdrawn, corrections effected and given back to the complainant.

  • A Unijos Alumni is anyone who has any valid certificate from the University of Jos, certified by the university senate.

  • The alumni relations office is located in the Bauchi road campus of the University of Jos. The office serves as a link between the alumni and the university.

  • The alumni relations officers will gladly assist by directing you to the appropriate office where the problem can be solved.

    The alumni relations office also keeps alumni updated with happenings in the university through emails, the university website and the various social media handles.

    I am a post graduate student, will I still pay alumni levy after I had paid after my first degree?

    Yes, the alumni levy is paid by students at every level of graduation (i.e undergraduate, masters, PhD etc.)

  • When the portal for registration is opened, it will be announced. Kindly follow the Unijos Alumni social media handles for more information. All information about Masters and PhD can be obtained from the post graduate school at the Naraguta campus of the university or the University website at www.unijos.edu.ng.

How to Apply at the Alumni Portal
    To apply or register on the alumni portal, follow these steps:
  1. Visit the alumni portal at alumni.unijos.edu.ng.
  2. Click on the "Account" button.
  3. A dropdown with two option will appear Apply and Login
  4. Click on Apply
  5. Enter your matriculation number and proceed.
  6. If you are already in the system, it will pull your information and allow you to log in or register.
  7. If it's a new registration, you will be allowed to enter an active email, phone number, and password.
  8. Verify your email address by clicking on the confirmation link sent to your email.
  9. Log in with your registered email and password to complete your profile and access the portal's features.
How to Log In to the Alumni Portal
    To access your alumni account:
  1. Go to the Alumni Portal Login Page – Visit the alumni website and click "Login" or "Sign In".
  2. Enter Your Credentials – Provide your:
    • Email/Username (registered during sign-up)
    • Password
  3. Click "Login" – If you have trouble, use the "Forgot Password" option to reset it.
